acrylic on canvas, 90.9 x 72.7 cm

Colors and shapes on the retina evoke emotions and thoughts within us. The question of ‘pictoriality’ – what is painting? – is the starting point and the core of my work.
The 21st century was expected to be an era of human liberation. However, 24 years later, the killing of humans, regardless of age or gender, continues unabated in all parts of the world. We live in an era where only humans hate and kill each other.
I wanted to collide the interpretation of visual information with the understandings we share in our contemporary experiences of society and the world within a single painting.
